GUWAHATI: Guwahati police summoned Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Srinivas Bhadravathi Venkata and asked him to appear before them following the case filed by Ankita Dutta. The president of the Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV, arrived in Guwahati on Monday and appeared before the state police.

He landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in the morning and reached the All Women Police Station in Panbazar at 11 a.m. He was accompanied by his lawyer as well as multiple leaders of the Assam Congress. The team spent about one and a half hours in the police station before they moved to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Assam Police in the city.

He left after spending an hour in the office, as the CID had issued a separate notice regarding the same case.
