Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) wants change in criteria

GUWAHATI: The Indigenous Tribal Sahitya Sabha, Assam (ITSSA) has questioned the eligibility criteria for the felicitation of writers under the Assam Bhasa Gaurav Achoni.

In a statement issued, ITSSA secretary general Kamala Kanta Mushahary said, "This is not the eligibility criteria that was announced by the Chief Minister in his meeting with various Sahitya Sabhas. The Chief Minister didn't mention any age bar, number of books and barring government employees from applying for such felicitation. The Sahitya Sabhas were given the responsibility of listing beneficiaries."
