International infection prevention week 2020 observed by NSS Unit

GUWAHATI: International infection prevention week 2020 was observed by the NSS unit of Dakshin Kamrup Girls College, Mirza on Wednesday. As a part of the celebration, the unit organized an interactive lecture session with Dr. Kamal Talukdar, Senior Dermatologist, TB hospital Guwahati. Dr. Talukdar elaborated on the concept of infection and various strategies to prevent infection. He urged everyone to be aware about the true nature of COVID-19 and follow the COVID protocol as specified by the Health Department. He also inspired the students to remain fit and healthy and take care of not only their physical health but also mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of life. The importance of vitamins in boosting our immune system was also very clearly discussed. Principal of Dakshin Kamrup Girls College Mirza, Dr. Gajendra Adhikary also expressed his views on maintaining proper health and hygiene and on the importance of Yoga and meditation.
