GUWAHATI, July 11: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is organizing ‘Guwahati Jagannath Rathyatra Festival – 2018’ from July 14 to 22 with a colourful programme. The programme is aimed at initiating the real peace formula to the society at large and to promote peace and social harmony in greater northeast, a communiqué said.
On July 14, the Rathyatra procession will start from the playground of Ulubari Higher Secondary School and will culminate at Jagannath Temple cum Cultural Complex, Joyanagar. Accordingly, on July 22, the Ulta Rathyatra (return) will be started from Sri Sri Jagannath Temple, Jayanagar and will end at Brindaban Garden, Zoo Tiniali. The nine-day religious festival will highlight ‘Srimad Bhagavad Katha’ at the Jagannath Temple premise from July n15 to 21, the communiqué added.
