Joint executive meeting of Koch Rajbongshi organizations held

GUWAHATI: The Koch Rajbongshi bodies held a joint executive meeting recently to discuss on the grant of ST status to the community members residing within and outside of the Undivided Goalpara district.

Representatives from 33 districts participated in the meeting of the Sadou Asom Koch Rajbongshi Sanmilani, Sadou Asom Koch Rajbongshi Yuba Chatra Sanmilani and Sadou Asom Koch Rajbongshi Mahila Sanmilani.

The bodies took resolution during the meeting that while the Koch Rajbongshis residing under Undivided Goalpara district should be considered as plain STs, the ones residing outside should be considered as new STs.
