Jyoti Kendra Siksha Karmi threatens Stir against Education Department

GUWAHATI: Expressing their disappointment over the supply of poor quality learning materials to the students and also for being deprived of their rights, the Jyoti Kendra Siksha Karmi Santha, threatens of taking out massive action against the Education Department, which may lead to some untoward situation.

Addressing a press conference at Guwahati Press Club on Monday, the Santha claimed that the way Siksha Karmi are deprived from getting their rights, the students are also ignored and deprived from every aspect. The Santha claimed, “The schemes with crores of Rupees are yet to reach the students. They are not even provided with the most important material for education i.e. books. The students, who does not even know ABC, are provided with books made for class six to eight. Other materials include pencils and scales of poor quality.”

The Santha appealed the government for some urgent intervention to secure their job as per the Right to Education Act 2009 and to supply proper books, enough learning materials, school bag and uniform. The Santha also asked for urgent action against the injustice done to the students as well as to the Siksha Karmis.
