GUWAHATI: Rajya Sabha MP from Assam, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, will be representing India in the Inter-Parliamentary Union meet to be organised in Angola later this month.

Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar nominated Kamakhya Prasad Tasa as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the 147th Inter-Parliamentary Union meet that is scheduled to be held in Angola on October 23 and 27.

Speaking about this development, the MP expressed his gratitude towards the Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha and his happiness over being able to represent the country on an international platform. It can be noted that two more MPs and senior officials from the Rajya Sabha Secretariat will also be taking part in this meeting.
