Kamakhya Temple sacrifice case near Kamakhya Temple : five interrogated

GUWAHATI: Five people who were arrested in connection with the Kamakhya Temple sacrifice case near the Kamakhya Temple were kept in Guwahati Central Jail and are currently being interrogated by the central forensic science laboratory team. The team was led by the Director of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Dr. Asha Srivastava, and other members of the team and Dr. Ranjita Kumari.

The incident occurred in June 2019 during the Ambubachi Mela, where a headless woman was recovered. The Guwahati police investigated this matter and arrested five people who were lodged in the Central Jail in Guwahati. They are Pradip Pathak, Kanu Acharjee, Mataprasad Pandey, Bhaiyaram Marya, alias Raju Baba, and Suresh Paswan.
