Kamrup District Road Safety Committee organized a meeting on road safety

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup District Road Safety Committee (KDRSC) organized a meeting to develop the road safety measures in the region, here on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by ADC (Additional Deputy Commissioner) Bipul Kumar Das where Kamrup Metro DTO (District Transport Officer) Arun Bora briefed about the measures taken by the transport department and its other subordinates, for road safety. The ADC advised the officials of police, PWD, Health Department, Excise and Education to make a road safety program and suggest the measures to the transport department. Further, discussions were held on the traffic problems arising in the city with special emphasis on the routes of e-rickshaws. The problems of traffic congestion because of city buses were also discussed.
