Kamrup Police recovered heroin worth Rs 3.50 crore in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Kamrup Police recovered half a kilogram of heroin from Sijubari in the city on Sunday morning. Police had prior information about drug peddling and based on information, the police had laid a trap in the Sijubari area. A KIA Seltos car came and a bag containing half kg heroin in 36 packets was dropped on the road. The police fired at the car but it managed to escape from the spot. There were four drug peddlers in the car, said police sources. The recovered heroin is worth around Rs 3.50 crore.
