Krishak-Sramik Unnayan Parishad (KSUP) demands probe into PMKSNS 'scam'

GUWAHATI: The Krishak-Sramik Unnayan Parishad (KSUP) has filed an FIR with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) demanding investigation into the anomalies in PM Krishak Samman Nidhi Scheme (PMKSNS), on Tuesday.

KSUP president Pradip Kalita alleged that PMKSNS beneficiary list includes fake farmers for which the real farmers are being deprived. "A section of leaders from political parties along with the agricultural department officials prepared the fake the list," Kalita added.

Further, he alleged that corruption was practiced in PMKSNS 2018. "We informed the Chief Minister and Agricultural Minister about the anomalies in PMKSNS in 2018. We submitted a memorandum in this regard but no initiative was taken," he alleged.

Demanding CID ADGP to investigate the scam in PMKSNS, Kalita said that the KSUP will lodge an FIR with the CM Special Vigilance Cell on Tuesday.
