KSUP announces protests against CAB; appeals citizens to be vigilant of CAB implementation

GUWAHATI: Expressing strong opposition against the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), the Krishak Sramik Unnayan Parisad (KSUP) has announced a serried of protest. As a part of this protest the Parisad will stage hunger strike for 36 hours from November 29 to December 1. After staging hunger strike, the Parishad will also take programme to create awareness against CAB. Addressing a press conference at Dispur Press Club on Sunday, KSUP said that the Parishad will never allow another NRC in the state. KSUP also appealed the Assamese to be aware from the anti-tribe political leaders who are supporting CAB who are driven by the greed of power. The Parishad also said that it will take BJP and AGP Hatao and also Jana Jagaran programme in every constituency from January 20.
