Labourer hailing from Barpeta dies in wall collapse

GUWAHATI: A labourer working on the construction of a three-layer building on the SOS road under Azara Police Station died when the wall of the building collapsed. The incident took place during the evening hours of Tuesday. The labourer is identified as Tahizuddin Ali alias Babu (19), hailing from Barpeta.

According to sources, the worker was resting on the third floor of the building. Then suddenly a wall collapsed on him, and he succumbed to injuries. The other workers working on the construction site admitted him to Azara Hospital. Later, he was declared dead.

On the other hand, police are investigating the reason behind the wall's collapse.
