Lawyers associations meet Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court N Kotiswar Singh

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Lawyers' Association (AALA) and Lawyers Association, Guwahati met Chief Justice (Acting) of Gauhati High Court N Kotiswar Singh and appealed to regularize the function of the lower courts.

Singh assured the representatives of both the associations that the lower courts will start its functioning from October 19, said AALA general secretary Deepak Kumar Das. He added that the Chief Justice also held discussed about the precautions that are to be taken in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Further, Singh advised the representatives that the clients of the advocates should not visit the court's premises without any valid reason. He suggested the bodies to be vigilant regarding the same.
