GUWAHATI: In a significant development, the State Government has effected a major reshuffle of Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers posted in the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC).
The Department of Personnel (Personnel-A) issued a Notification in this regard on Sunday. As per the Notification, Satyajyoti Baruah, Joint Commissioner of GMC, has been transferred and directed to report to Personnel Department for further posting.
Pankaj Chakravarty, Principal of the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre & Joint Commissioner of GMC (additional charge) has been relieved from the additional charge of Joint Commissioner.
Mriganka Choudhury, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup(M), has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of GMC.
Loni Borpatra Gohain, Deputy Secretary of Housing & Urban Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner of GMC in place of Satyajyoti Baruah.
Dipshikha Saikia, Collector of GMC and Secretary of GMC (additional charge) has been transferred and directed to report to Personnel Department for further posting.
Tulashi Ranjan Kalita, BOO of Fekamari, has been transferred and posted as Collector of GMC in place of Dipshikha Saikia. Avinash Paul, BDO of Lakhipur, has been transferred and posted as Secretary of GMC.
Manash Jyoti Malakar, BDO of Debitola, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Commissioner, Kamrup(Metro), attached to GMC.
Meanwhile, vide another Notification, the Personnel (A) Department has posted three ACS (Junior Grade) probationers, now undergoing training, as Assistant Commissioners in the Kamrup(M) District and attached to GMC with effect from December 17 next.
The probationary officers are Suhel Yasir, Trishanu Bipul Borah and Ambarish Borah.
