GUWAHATI: Malaria prevention month as well as dengue prevention fortnight were flagged off on Thursday in the Kamrup Metropolitan District. The awareness initiative was flagged off by the Additional Commissioner of Health, Kamrup Metropolitan Health Department, Jharna Patgiri, and the Councillor for Ward Number 35, Nabin Bora, at a function held at Pub Guwahati State Dispensary.

The event was attended by Dr. Kandar Kumar Das, Joint Director of Health Services, Kamrup Metropolitan Health Department, Chief Medical and Health Officer (Infectious Diseases), Officer-in-Charge of Pub Guwahati State Dispensary, District Malaria Officer (National Vector Borne Diseases Control Scheme), and several other offices of the health department.
