Mission Soulful Sivasagar starts ‘Project Pakhila’ for differently-abled students

GUWAHATI: Under the umbrella of Mission Soulful Sivasagar, the district administration has introduced ‘Project Pakhila’, which aims to provide a platform to the differently-abled students. Project Pakhila was inaugurated on Tuesday by showcasing the paintings of an 8-year-old differently-abled girl named Akhtara. In a press conference at Guwahati Press Club on Tuesday, the Sivasagar District Administrative along with the Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya introduced Akhtara and presented some of the paintings drawn by her.

Addressing the media Sivasagar DC Lakshmi Priya said, “We have been taking various projects under the Mission Soulful Sivasagar. Hence, Project Pakhila aims at identifying the talents of differently-abled students and facilitating them in carrying their talents. We are happy that a photo exhibition has been arranged in Kalakshetra for this 8 year old girl, with whom we started the project.”
