MLA Atul Bora urges CM Sarbananda Sonowal to activate Village Defence Party's

GUWAHATI: Dispur Constituency BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MLA Atul Bora has appealed to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to activate the VDPs (Village Defence Party), in view of the corona outbreak. VDPs are volunteers of a village and are responsible for safe guarding the area of that particular village’s jurisdiction.

Bora stated that the CM should order all the respective police station’s to activate the VDPs under their command so that no outsider can enter a village without permission. Further, the leader appealed to the CM to close the vegetables and poultry shops, during the lockdown period to avoid the possible outbreak of the virus.
