GUWAHATI: Local MLA Ramendra Narayan Kalita inspected four quarantine centres at VIP under the Azara Revenue Circle, on Saturday. As many as four hotels of the area have been made quarantine centres. Kalita directed the department concerned to take necessary measures to address the difficulties of the patients. He also instructed the department concerned to make street lights lit during the night hours. According to reports, till now 61 people are being quarantined in the hotels. The numbers of people might increase after the flight services are reopened from May 25. In this regard, Kalita said that the nearby hotels to the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport will be made quarantine centres. Azara Circle Officer Mridul Bora said the facilities have been set up to accommodate around 280 people.
