"Yet after 5 months, the Ministry [Department] of Health in Assam says that there is a shortage of hospital beds and that the Covid-19 cases are going out of control," he said, and asked the government, "Who will answer the families who have run from hospital to hospital searching for ICU beds and ventilators – the State, the Centre, the Health ministry [department] or the Finance ministry [department]?" The MP also expressed concern over the privatization of Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, oil fields, and the proposed sale of the Hindustan Paper Mills in Cachar and Morigaon, a statement issued by the MP said.
