National Conference of Chartered Accountants Held in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A two-day long’ national conference of Chartered Accountant students concluded in the city on Saturday. The theme of the Conference was “Path for Success – Learn, Adapt and Accelerate”.

Prafulla P. Chhajed , the 67th president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was present at the conference with representatives from the Board of Studies.CA. Debashis Mitra, Central Council member, CA Dhiraj Jain, Chairman of Guwahati Branch and CA Sharad Agarwalla from Jorhat, Vice Chairman of Guwahati Branch. The other managing committee members were present throughout the conference and seen motivating and interacting with the students and delegates.

While delivering a special address to the students of the region pursuing the tough course, the president CA Prafulla p. Chhajed talked about the key initiatives of the Board of Studies and recent developments for students pursuing this highly technical and respectful professional course. He narrated the e- initiatives of ICAI for ease of students. He also mentioned about the course being very economical even for an ordinary middle class family in spite of being a globally recognized degree. He mentioned that there is huge demand in industry and corporate sector worldwide for CA.
