National executive meeting of BJP Mahila Morcha from Sept 9 in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The national executive meeting of the BJP Mahila Morcha will be held on September 9 and 10 at the state BJP headquarters in Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati.

The national president of the BJP Mahila Morcha Vanathi Srinivasan, arrived in Guwahati on Thursday evening and was welcomed by the state BJP Mahila Morcha president, Angoorlata Deka, along with other members from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA).

The preparations for the executive meeting have already been completed. Addressing the media at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, the national general secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha and Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami briefed on the upcoming two-day executive meeting.

Goswami said, “Five sessions of meetings will be held during the two-day programme, where dignitaries from all over the country will be present and will deliver their speeches. The meeting will discuss the role of the party’s Mahila Morcha in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 and the upcoming five state assembly elections, namely Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Telangana. About 200 women delegates will be representing the meeting from the various states.”

“The executive meeting will be attended by BJP National General Secretary and in charge of Mahila Morcha Dushyant Gautam, vice chairperson of Rajya Speaker Phangnon Konyak, MP of Rajya Sabha Kamakhya Prasad Tacha, Guwahati MP Queen Ojha, BJP, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and others,” Goswami further stated.
