GUWAHATI: The city-based NEF Law College successfully organized the Shivam Saraf Memorial 1st National Virtual Moot Court Competition 2020 from September 3 to 5.

Forty-seven Law Colleges from across the country including four National Law Universities participated in the competition. Justice Jasti Chelameswar, former Judge of the Supreme Court was the Chief Guest of the inauguration ceremony. Justice Amitava Roy, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India inaugurated and delivered the inaugural speech.

National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam was adjudged the winner and BML Munjal University, Gurugram as the runners up, each bagging a prize money worth Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. Tasneem Hussain of BML Mujal University, K Anjana Kameswari of G.D. Goenka University, Gurgaon and Stuti of NLUJA, Assam were adjudged as best speakers. Vedant Sharma of National Law University (NLU), Orissa was adjudged as the best researcher. VIT University has been awarded the Best Memorial Award, a press release said.
