NEMSU's appeal to Dispur, MPs to declare Assam flood as national problem

GUWAHATI: The North-East Minority Students' Union (NEMSU) on Monday demanded that the Centre should declare the flood problem of Assam as a national problem.

NEMSU president Badrul Islam said that successive Central Governments have failed to work out a scientific solution to this perennial problem.

The organization urged the State Government as well as all MPs from Assam to persuade the Centre to declare the flood problem of the State as a national problem.
