NEVARD, Cotton University forum distribute relief in two flood-hit villages

GUWAHATI: The North East Voluntary Association of Rural Development (NEVARD) in collaboration with Cotton University Martial Arts Forum and the Guwahati Youth Society organized a flood relief camp in two flood-hit villages of Boko, Birpara and Barkhal on Saturday. Around 200 flood-hit families of both the villages were aided with packs of rice, pulses, salt, sugar, turmeric powder, biscuits, puffed rice, jaggery, soyabean, mustard oil, candles, potatoes, onions, water bottles, bathing soaps, face masks, sanitary napkins and other essentials. The flood relief camp was carried out by volunteers of NEVARD: Sandip Gogoi (social worker), Jiban Nath, Deepjyoti Barman; members of Cotton University Martial Arts Forum: Ramen Boro (president), Mukul Deka (secretary CUSU), Ibrahim Khalil, Sanchita Das, Gitumoni Rajbongshi, Barsha Sharma, Nabajit Barman and volunteers of Guwahati Youth Society (GYS), Syed SalimHaque (social worker), Juganta Buragohain and other local volunteers.
