New central committee formed of Sadou Asom Goria-Moria-Desi-Jatiya Parishad

GUWAHATI: The two units of the Sadou Asom Goria-Moria-Desi-Jatiya Parishad formally merged on Monday at a meeting held at the Bagh Hazarika Bhavan, which is the head office of the Parishad, at Hatigaon in the city.

In the meeting, a new central committee was formed with Shahnawaz Hussain as president, Nurul Haque as working president and Akhtar Hussain and Hasiful Islam as joint general secretaries.

A meeting of the Parishad was held on June 28, 2021 at Chenga, Barpeta where the decision was taken to merge both units and form a new central committee.
