GUWAHATI: Popular singer Zubeen Garg has reacted to the forming of multiple new political parties in Assam ahead of the Assembly elections scheduled to be held in 2021. Talking to reporters, the heartthrob of the State said that more number of parties will divide more votes.

Speaking to the media singer Zubeen Garg said, "The more number of parties will create more divisions in vote banks. I don't know about the next government. I have my good wishes for them. But I don't have loyalty for any political party. I like to remain neutral."

The singer also stated that he would keep opposing the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019.

"My stand is still the same. I will keep opposing the CAA. We can't take to the streets now, but we have social media and cooperation of the people. So the movement will go on," Zubeen Garg added.
