GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) District Administration, the State Agricultural Marketing Board and the Directorate of Horticulture & Food Processing fixed consumer prices of various vegetables at a meeting held on Sunday.
According to the price list issued by the Director of Horticulture, Khanapara on Sunday, the consumers' price fixed at the meeting will be effective in Guwahati from Monday. While the price of ridge gourd (jika) has been fixed at Rs 35 per kg, that of tender ash gourd (lao) at Rs 30 per kg, long bean at Rs 40 per kg, bitter gourd (tita kerala) at Rs 40 per kg, pumpkin at Rs 20 per kg, lady's finger at Rs 30 per kg, cabbage at Rs 30 per kg, chilli at Rs 60 per kg, carrot at Rs 90 per kg, French bean at Rs 90 per kg, sponge gourd (bhol) at Rs 30 per kg, cucumber (teo) at Rs 30 per kg, bottle gourd (pani lao) at Rs 35 per kg, peas at Rs 85 per kg, Assam lemon at Rs 3 per piece, brinjal at Rs 40 per kg, spine gourd (mitha kerala) at Rs 46 per kg, coriander leaves (dhania pat) at Rs 5 per bunch (muthi), capsicum at Rs 80 per kg, knoll khol (salgom) at Rs 40 per kg, potato (new) at Rs 30 per kg, tomato at Rs 50 per kg, colocasia (peta) at Rs 40 per kg, snake gourd at Rs 30 per kg, squash at Rs 50 per kg, radish (mula) at Rs 35 per kg and kunduli (potol) at Rs 32 per kg.
