GUWAHATI: A special sanitization drive was undertaken on Friday at the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) HQ complex, Maligaon in view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from railway officials, a team from the 1st BN NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) based at Patgaon of Kamrup (Metro) district also participated in the sanitization drive.
Sodium Hypochlorite solution was sprayed out as disinfectant by the NDRF rescuers alongwith NFR officials to check the transmission of COVID – 19 virus in NFR HQ complex building. All the offices of the HQ complex were properly disinfected by the team during the special drive. During the drive social distancing was also maintained.
This special drive was in addition to regular drives that are undertaken for disinfection of all the railway premises at regular intervals.
