NFR to resume special train services between Kishanganj-Ajmer, Katihar-Amritsar

The NFR (Northeast Frontier Railways) has decided to resume services of two pair special trains between Kishanganj-Ajmer (tri-weekly) and Katihar-Amritsar (daily) from this month.

GUWAHATI: The NFR (Northeast Frontier Railways) has decided to resume services of two pair special trains between Kishanganj-Ajmer (tri-weekly) and Katihar-Amritsar (daily) from this month. Moreover, services of the Agartala-Dharmanagar-Agartala DEMU passenger have been restored with effect from July 9, 2021 with revised timings (temporary basis) for the benefit of passengers. Among these special trains: Train No. 05715 Kishanganj-Ajmer junction tri-weekly express special will run three days a week -- on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday with effect from July 23, 2021 leaving from Kishanganj at 06-00 hours to reach Ajmer junction at 21-40 hours on next day. In the return direction, Train No. 05716 Ajmer junction - Kishanganj tri-weekly express special will run three days a week - on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday with effect from July 26, 2021 leaving from Ajmer junction at 12-00 hours to reach Kishanganj at 03-30 hours on third day. Train No. 05733 Katihar-Amritsar daily express special will run with effect from July 26, 2021 leaving from Katihar at 22-45 hours to reach Amritsar at 12-20 hours on third day. In the return direction, Train No. 05734 Amritsar-Katihar daily express special will run with effect from July 29, 2021 leaving from Amritsar at 08-25 hours to reach Katihar at 22-10 hours on next day.

DEMU passenger services: Services of Train No. 07679/07680 Agartala-Dharmanagar-Agartala DEMU passenger have been resumed from today (with effect from July 9, 2021). The passenger train leaving from Agartala at 06-30 hours will reach Dharmanagar at 10-15 hours and leaving from Dharmanagar at 10-45 hours will reach Agartala at 13-55 hours. The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in Railway's website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N.F. Railway.

Passengers are requested to see these details before undertaking their journey. It may kindly be noted that, on arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state. All passengers are requested to co-operate with the railway and respective State government officials in this regard, stated a press release.
