NIT And IIT Guwahati Students Attend Hare Krishna Movement

GUWAHATI: The Gaura Purnima/Doul Utsav celebrations organized by Hare Krishna Movement, Guwahati at Airport Authority India, Residential colony, Sports club in Guwahati on Thursday, drew people of AAI, Metrological department and more devotees from various walks of life who turned up in large numbers to receive the blessings of Nitai Gaura Sundar. Also, strong youth wings of hundreds of students from IIT Guwahati, NIT Agartala, and NIT Silchar partook in the festival. The event marked the appearance of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the most munificent incarnation of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna.

According to a press release, the program started at 5 pm with the rendering of soulful Sankirtan by devotees followed by melodious Bhajan performances. Thereafter Maha-Abhishekham was performed to with auspicious items like milk, curd, honey, ghee, sweet water, many more fruits juice, and varieties of flowers etc. Followed by the abhishekam special Arati was also attended by the thousands of devotees. Also for the pleasure of Their Lordships 108 special offerings were offered and distributed to the devotees. A special Hari Naam Band Live performance was appreciated on this occasion.

Janardhana Dasa president of Hare Krishna Movement, Guwahati thanked the people for turning up in large numbers to experience the spiritual bliss of associating with the Lord's appearance celebration.
