No Immediate Fall in Onion Prices in Sight, Says Phani Bhushan Choudhury

GUWAHATI: Onion prices are still high in the State, ranging from Rs 80 to Rs 90 per kg in Guwahati. State Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhushan Choudhury said that the prices of onion are not going to fall soon.

Talking to the media on Sunday, Phani Bhushan Choudhury said, “The rise in prices of onion is an all-India phenomenon, because of fall in production of the commodity. The Government at the Centre is also observing onion prices. We expect fall in the prices of the commodity after 10-15 days.”
