North Eastern Council plenary session to start on October 8 in Guwahati city

GUWAHATI: The two-day 70th plenary session of the NEC (North Eastern Council) will start on October 8 and conclude on October 9 in Guwahati. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the session on October 8. Several Chief Ministers, Governors of the eight Northeastern States and top NEC officials will participate in the session.

The session will discuss the development issues of the region. The Assam Government has attached 46 ACS (Assam Civil Service) and ALRS (Assam Land and Revenue Service) officers with the GAD (General Administration Department) temporarily to make the session a success.
