Northeast is not a garbage bin for illegal Bangladeshis : North East Students’ Organisations (NESO)

GUWAHATI: The North East Students’ Organisations (NESO) on Monday stressed that Northeast region is not a garbage bin for the illegal Bangladeshis. In a release, the NESO Chairman Samuel Jyrwa and Secretary General Sinam Prakash Singh said that if the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 is imposed in Northeast the Centre will get a flaming repercussion. The duo reiterated that the Government of India is trying to impose the controversial Bill with an intention to create an existential threat to the ethnic people in Northeast.

Notably, the NESO will stage a protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, Foreigner (Amendment) Order, 2015, Passport (Entry into India) Notification, 2015 and Long Term Visa in Guwahati on Tuesday. The NESO will also demonstrate protests across all the State’s capital cities of Northeast on November 30 against the same.
