Guwahati: Amid the raging pandemic, Berry White Incorporation is now producing of N95 Masks In North Eastern India from their fully-automated facility in Brahmaputra Industrial Park, Guwahati.

Assam Berry White Inc. is a young entrepreneurial business venture started by young entrepreneur Ravi Pasari keeping in mind the vision and mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Make In India" and "Vocal for Local" initiatives.

The company is presently employing more than 30 people directly and more than 100 people indirectly (all locals) on a regular basis to generate employment during COVID-19.

"The company has trained local unskilled labor in the Amingaon area in the outskirts of Guwahati for handling high-end Automated Machines adding to their skill sets and plans to develop more people into skilled operators within a few months," said Pasari.

Women empowerment has also been an initiative undertaken by the company where they are given equal employment opportunities and play a crucial role in the day to day operations of the company.

"With an Installed Capacity of 50,000 units a day, the vision and aim of the Company is to provide safer and cheaper N95 Masks with 6 Layers for the people of Assam and North East region," Pasari said.

The company has successfully obtained the prestigious " NIOSH" certification along with other accreditations from Indian as well as global agencies. 

The Northeast company also plans to launch colorful N95 fabric masks in the coming months and is eyeing exports to the other SAARC countries (the SAARC consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka).

"The Company aims to serve the people of North East with preferential pricing and superior quality services through their brand "Luit" & "Usi- Mask". The company is selling and marketing their masks with the brand names embossed to avoid spurious and counterfeit N95 Masks which have come into the market under various names," Pasari further added.
