One arrested for theft from Bamunimaidan in Chandmari

GUWAHATI: The Chandmari Police arrested a person named Rahul Boro on theft charges from Bamunimaidan on Wednesday. The police have recovered Rs 25,000, two gold chains, two gold rings etc. from his possession.

The arrest was made following an FIR lodged by Rajesh Sharma who stated that his house in Bamunimaidan was looted on Wednesday evening. Sharma stated in the FIR that the thief was captured in the CCTV cameras of the building.

In this regard a case - 806/2020 U/S, 457/380 IPC has been registered at the Chandmari Police Station.
