GUWAHATI: One person has been arrested for alleged involvement in the medical reimbursement scam.

Ganesh Kalita, vaccinator in the State Dispensary, Khanapara, was arrested on Monday night for allegedly forging the medical referral certificates. Kalita was produced before the CJM court and remanded to three days judicial custody. Police said that search was on for two more people who had forged the certificates.

The State-level Referral Board, Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), had detected that fake referral certificates had been submitted by some government employees to get medical reimbursement.
