Assam Police Catch One, Seize Drugs in Sonapur

GUWAHATI: Based on inputs, a team of the Assam Police carried out an operation in the Jorabat and seized 132.7 grams of suspected heroin and 2.122 kg of ganja. A Hyundai vehicle bearing registration number NL 05 Y 751 was also seized. The suspected heroin was kept in two soap boxes, eight plastic containers, and six kajal (eyeliner) boxes, while the ganja was in 53 small plastic packets. The police team also apprehended the driver of the vehicle. His name was revealed as 39-year-old Bhim Bahadur Sunar, son of Late Kabiraj Sunar of 3rd Mile Riatsokhlur under the Rilbong Police station in Shillong and East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya.
