One dead, one injured after being hit by train in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: One person died while another was injured in Guwahati on Tuesday morning after being hit by a train.

Anjan Koch (29) and his brother Narayan Koch (21) were hit by a moving train while they were crossing a railway line on their motorcycle, at Uperghuli in Bonda. Narayan Koch died on the spot while Anjan was seriously injured. He was rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

Eye witnesses said that both the up and down trains were approaching when the brothers were crossing the railway track. While watching out for one train, they were hit by the other train.
