Organizers of 'Beltola Bohagi Utsav' cancelled its functions

GUWAHATI: The organizers of 'Beltola Bohagi Utsav' have cancelled its functions slated on April 23, 24, and 25.

Mentioning this in a press conference here on Saturday, the organizers stated that "the decision has been taken as it will not be possible to organized the functions according to the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) issued by the State government.

Stating that the pandemic situation has posed serious problems for all and especially the artistes, the organizers have urged the NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) to extend a helping hand to all the artistes of Bihu during these trying times. They also pointed out that the 'Bharat Ratna Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika Bota' this year will be awarded to noted artiste and music director Udit Narayan.
