GUWAHATI: An outreach programme/talk show with healthcare workers, doctors, nurses etc was held on Thursday at Guwahati by the Income Tax Department, North Eastern Region. The outreach programme was organized by the Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NER, Income Tax Department as a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and to create awareness about transparent taxation.

Raju Tayeng, IRS, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NER while addressing the healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and officers and staff of the Income Tax Department acknowledged the role played by the doctors, nurses and other health workers during the pandemic and also thanked them for their hard work and proactive role.

In the program, 30 healthcare workers including doctors and nurses across the city participated. All the participants were felicitated by presenting with a phulam gamocha, a memento, a plant and token gift as a sign of gratitude.

A panel discussion was also held with two eminent doctors a diabetologist and a gynaecologist and a discussion was held on topics of general well being and other health matters concerning public health. A presentation was also given by Dr. Udayan Baruah on Good Health. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and doctors present, stated a press release.
