Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Appointment: Start Afresh

GUWAHATI: The Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Department interviews against permanent posts in Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Department, has released the list of selected candidates. A case has been registered in this regard by the Anti Corruption Youth-Power, Assam (ACYPA) at Dispur police station.

ACYPA Secretary Shyamanta Das, at a press meet condemned that the names of the short-listed candidates were announced during an ongoing CID probe, the reports of which were not made public. “Our CM has announced a one man probe but in the midst of it, how can the shortlisted candidates join the department?” Das questioned. He further recalled the ‘Zero Tolerance’ slogan preached by the CM and demanded thorough investigation into the matter. “The entire appointment process should be started fresh from the start again,” Das petitioned.
