Panel for Clause 6 of the Assam Accord to Meet Today

GUWAHATI: The high-power committee for the implementation of Clause 6 of the Assam Accord is going to meet for the third meeting on Saturday. It is speculated that the committee may prepare a route map for its functioning so as to recommend measures for the implementation of Clause 6 of the AA. The 14-member committee was formed by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) with Justice (retd) Biplab Kumar Sarma, a former judge of the Gauhati High Court, as the chairman. The MHA has stipulated six months for the committee to submit its recommendations.
