Guwahati: Assam police has seized the vehicle involved in the hit and run case in Tinsukia which led to the death of senior journalist Parag Bhuyan.

The two arrested are the driver and handyman of the vehicle, James Mura and Baba Bordoloi.

Bhuyan was critically injured in the accident and was immediately rushed to Aditya Nursing Home in Dibrugarh. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

He was the Kakopathar correspondent of a Guwahati-based news channel.

The journalist, aged 50, is believed to have exposed various levels of coal-timber mafias and political nexus. His last news coverage was on a BJP Mahila leader who allegedly physically assaulted a 2nd OC of Kakopathar PS inside the police station, which was in the CCTV footage.
