Partha Sarathi Mahanta’s 2nd book of poems released at Assam Book Fair

 GUWAHATI: The Sadou Asom Kobi Mancha unveiled Dr. Parthasarathi Mahanta's second poetry collection, 'Nimakhit Kabita,' at the Dr. Birendra Nath Dutta Sowarni Academy Auditorium during the Assam Book Fair on Thursday.

Dr. Partha Sarathi Mahanta, a well-known police officer actively engaged in socio-cultural and sports activities, has authored articles and poems on various subjects. His poems, especially those rooted in Assam, enjoy significant popularity. Notably, his books like "Kamakhya," 'Rhine,' "Majuli," "Shiva," and the debut poetry collection "Jibonor Songlap" have garnered widespread acclaim.

The release event saw participation from office bearers, meeting members, and notable figures like singer Zublee Barua, artistes Zerifa Wahid, Kapil Bora, and Pallavi Bora Mahanta. Zerifa Wahid, Kapil Bora, and Pallavi Bara Mahanta recited poems written by Parthasarathi Mahanta, while Jubli Barua performed one of his compositions. Renowned author Gopal Jalan, along with Debjit Goswami and Abhijit Goswami from Bookbell, the book's publisher, attended the event. The preface of the book is authored by the distinguished litterateur and Sahitya Akademi award-winning storyteller Manoj Kumar Goswami, stated a press release.
