During a hearing in a Public Interest Litigation case (PIL/60/2023), the government advocate produced before the court a copy of the communication dated 20.09.2023 issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Hojai. According to this order, the permission for organizing lottery and sale of gift tickets, which was proposed to be held at Nikharimukh Field, Jamunamukh by Jungle Block Socio Economical Development Society, was cancelled.
