GUWAHATI: The National School of Drama, New Delhi and Guwahati Sishu Natya Vidyalaya, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, presented an Assamese play named 'Kanaklata Baruah' at the Rabindra Bhawan here on Saturday evening, stated a press release.

The children's drama was written by noted playwright Jiten Sarma and designed and directed by wel-known drama personality Manik Roy. The special guests who graced the occasion were Dr Debojit Khanikar, Director of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam, former DGP Dilip Bora and Rathindra Bhattacharjya.

The play was a part of the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' programme of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of Independence.
