GUWAHATI: The LGBIA (Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport) authority has informed that the post-covid recovery at the airport in terms of aircraft and air passengers is very encouraging and is showing a robust ensuring growth trend in the near future. The Air Traffic Movement (ATM) recovery has crossed 87% while passenger movement has reached 60% in November in comparison with the same month in 2019-20. During the Durga puja time, passenger movements shot up to reach 79%, in comparison to the pre-covid levels of 2019-2 -- well above the country's average recovery rate in the same period at 72%.
