Pragjyotishpur University announces Pragjyotishpur Sahitya Utsav 2023

GUWAHATI: The Pragjyotishpur University will be organising the Pragjyotishpur Sahitya Utsav with a three-day schedule from September 29 to October 1. This announcement was made by the organisers in a press meet. The press meet was attended by writer Phanindra Kumar Dev Choudhury, Head of the Sanskrit Department of Gauhati University Sudeshna Bhattacharya, and members of the organising body. They mentioned that this event is being organised with the aim of making the youth aware of the ancient literature of the state, mentioning that it will help inculcate an interest in such literature among the masses.

They also mentioned that two Assamese writers will be presented with the Pragjyotishpur Sahitya Award during this event. One person above the age of 40 and one below that age will be named for the award, announced the organisers. They also mentioned that writers from different parts of the country will be taking part in the three-day-long event. They also announced that the events would be organised in the Sahitya Sabha Bhawan and the District Library of the state and invited everyone to be a part of them. The theme for Pragjyotishpur Sahitya Utsav 2023 is “Seach for the roots”.
