Protest against Guwahati Municipal Corporation for shoddy garbage disposal in city area

GUWAHATI: The local people of Manik Nagar on the RG Baruah Road here staged a protest against the GMC (Guwahati Municipal Corporation) for not properly lifting garbage from the area.

The agitators said that the area littered with garbage stinks. They said that the civic body claims to have done a lot of developmental work in the city. "The ground reality is such that we cannot even open our windows as the area stinks badly. We have lodged several complaints with the GMCH authority, but to no avail," a local resident said.
